Fishing regulations have put a dent in the clam strip situation.

Part of my summer routine involves getting a plate of fried clams at some of my favorite seafood restaurants.

While I'm not having an issue finding the clams I like, those of you that prefer the clam strip are singing a different song.

According to an article at seacoast online, there is a shortage of the clams that are used in the making of clam strips.

Commercial fisherman have new limits on the clams that are used to make clam strips due to new regulations, and that has caused a shortage of the popular dish up and down the seacoast.

So be forewarned. With another month of summer, clam strip lovers should come up with a plan B in case your favorite dining destination is out.
