One of the best things about living in New England is the seafood is off-the-hook delicious, especially the fried clams.  Here are 12 Restaurants in Massachusetts that have the tastiest in the U.S.

Ipswich, Massachusetts is the Birthplace of the Fried Clam

You will see 5 Restaurants from Essex, Massachusetts on this list. That town is a definite hot spot for all that fried deliciousness, however, Ipswich has claimed to be the birthplace of the Fried Clam.

J.T. Farnham's in Ipswich also claims to be the birthplace of the fried claim.  There are those, however, who say that Woodman's in Essex is the birthplace of the delectable delights. I'm not sure who is right and who is wrong, but I'm happy that somebody did it.

If I were you, I would try to road trip all of these on the list.  There are quite a few in the same general vicinity, so you could probably do about 1/2 of these in a day, but why would you want to?

The Lobster Pool in Rockport, Mass is the place you want to go to catch the gorgeous sunsets as well as delicious clams.

Maybe hit two places per day, that way, you will get through the list in about a week.

You could try one of these places every weekend for the Summer, that way, there is a lesser chance of you developing a stomach ache from eating too much.  These things have a tendency to make you eat more than you should because they are the most delicious.
