Portsmouth’s Public Ice Skating Rink to Open Thanksgiving Weekend

The seacoast's favorite outdoor skating rink, at Puddle Dock Pond, is set to open Thanksgiving weekend.

An estimated 22,000 people visited the rink last year according to an article in SeacoastOnline.com.

Pretty impressive for a first time destination. Count me as one of them. I went a couple times last year and had a blast. In previous winters I had traveled to Boston for their Frog Pond public skating and now we have one in our backyard.

The rink is planning on being open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with public skates, pick-up hockey by reservation, and even ice entertainment shows.

New this year is a webcam so you can watch them install the rink!
