Roadwork To Begin On Middle Street and Lafayette Rd in Portsmouth

Unitil will be conducting the roadwork that is expected to continue through August.

Weather permitting, work is expected to begin today (Monday) on a big project that is expected to not wrap up until the end of August.

Work will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During work hours, there will be at least one lane of traffic that will remain open at all times. Please pay attention while traveling through the area during the work, as there will be detours.

Work will include the replacement of an old cast iron gas main, replacing individual service connections to each customer's property, and sidewalk reconstruction.
