Rod Stewart Heading to New Hampshire in the Summer of 2025 With Cheap Trick
Rod Stewart's "One Last Time" Tour is coming to BankNH Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire next Summer on July 11, 2025. His special guest will be Cheap Trick.
Rod Stewart's Career Has Spanned Decades
Rod Stewart's career has spanned decades. (Actually, that's Sir Roderick to you. Rod was Knighted in 2016.) He tried to be a soccer player, but that didn't pan out, according to rodstewart.com.
In the late 60's, Rod was a singer for the incredible guitarist, Jeff Beck. In the early 70's, a record label snatched him up for a solo career and singer for the Faces. Rod came into my orbit in 1978, when "Hot Legs" hit the charts. From there, it was hit after hit. Songs like, "Do You Think I'm Sexy," "Sailing," "Maggie May," "Young Turks," "I Was Only Joking," "The First Cut is the Deepest," "You're in my Heart," and so so many others.
Rod put out album after hit album throughout the 80's and 90's until he decided to pivot to a new genre of music, however, it was the oldest material. Rod recorded the Great American Songbook in 2002. Rod, as it turns out, was a crooner.
On the album, "It Had to be You, The Great American Songbook," he sang jazz standards like, "The Way You Look Tonight,", "The Very Thought of You," "Moonglow," "I'll be Seeing You" and many others. It was that album that Rod connected with an entirely new audience.
Rod's latest album is done with Jools Holland titled, "Swing Fever." This album is exactly what you would expect with a title like that. The big band sound with songs like "Lullaby of Broadway," "Sentimental Journey," "Them There Eyes," "Ain't Misbehavin'," and other iconic songs.
You can expect a lot of his rock hits in his setlist for the Summer 2024 show.
Tickets are currently on sale through rodstewart.com with the General sale date of Friday, November 22, 2024.
There wasn't ever a time that didn't know his name. Cheap Trick is opening for Sir Rod.
