South Berwick’s Strawberry Festival Is Saturday

It's a full day of crafters, entertainers, various activities, and oh yeah, lots and lots of strawberries.

This Saturday marks the 42nd anniversary of the annual South Berwick Strawberry Festival. It takes hundreds of hard working volunteers to put on this event.

As usual, the official Strawberry Festival Activities take place on the Central School grounds, right in downtown.

The main attraction is the Strawberry Shortcake tent which opens at 9am, the same time everything gets underway. More than 250 cases of strawberries, 70 gallons of whipped cream, 300 dozen biscuits and 60 luscious cheesecakes. are what it takes to make it a success, not to mention all the volunteers who hull, slice and sugar the strawberries.

It's always a good time for the entire family.
