Dover Police Department Received an Award That Shows Just How Exceptional They Are

Congratulations to the Dover Police Department!

They have received the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County 2019 Champion Award!

As you can see from the video, the Dover PD are so much more than just keepers of the peace.

I have a particular soft spot for Officers Michelle and Joe who ride the beautiful horses here in Dover.  CJ and Rasa are magnificent animals, and Officer Michelle who you often see riding CJ down Central Avenue, said that they will calm a situation just be being present.

The CEO of CAPSC, Betsey Andrews Parker, showed her emotion when she was talking about the Dover PD and how helpful they are when faced with a particular situation, like homelessness.

The Officers are compassionate and non judgmental, exceptional people who care about the people who they serve.

I always look forward to seeing CJ and Rasa at our annual Shark in the Park events at Henry Law Park.
