The Lost 45’s Spoiler Alert: A Royal Remake from Aretha

The Lost 45's with Barry Scott is starting off 2016 with a special that is comprised entirely of remakes. I must admit, I'd never heard this classic rock cover from Aretha Franklin and I therefore profusely apologize to her majesty The Queen of Soul.

Slide guitar provided by none other than Duane Allman on this 1969 version of  The Band's 'The Weight'. It reached #2 on the Billboard Charts in 1969 and I cannot overstate how ashamed I am that I did not know it exist.
