The Next Tony Hawk Could Start in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, as the New Skate Park Officially Opens
As the weather gets warmer, you may be looking for things to do with the kids. If you have a skateboarder in your house (or maybe even a roller skater), you might be happy to learn that there is a skate park officially opening soon in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
According to their Facebook page, there is an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 18, at 11am at the park at 979 Greenland Road in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Skate Park Etiquette
The park is appropriate, even for young riders. They do have safety procedures in place, which are described in this video.

As he says in this video, the first time he ever went to a skate park, he saw people flying out of pools and flying through the air and he knew that's what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He was able to create a career doing the thing that he loved the most.
Tony was always trying to make his skating better and be the best he could be on the board, as you will hear in the YouTube video. They used to call him the "circus skater" for the tricks he used to do. He turned pro at 14 years old. At the age of 16, he was considered the greatest skater in the world.
