These Are 12 of Granite Staters’ Favorite Summer Treats
We don't know about you, but we feel that it's been a pretty awesome summer.
Especially living in an area where warm temperatures don't stick around for too long, each day where we don't freeze our butts off in our cars or can wear shorts and tank tops without getting hypothermia is precious as far as we're concerned.
It's obvious that New Englanders crave nice weather. Remember what always happens on the first warm day of the year (however you define "warm")? You know, when you roll the windows down even though it's probably still a little chilly out? How about seeing people wearing t-shirts and flip flops on the first day the temperature gets above 50-ish degrees?
Over the past couple of months, you may have found yourself craving some of your favorite summer treats. For some, such delicacies are to be enjoyed year-round, and you don't let a calendar dictate when you can indulge in a large bowl of ice cream or large quantities of watermelon. Others may feel the opposite, and choose to hold off on that refreshing glass of cold lemonade if the weather isn't quite setting the mood.
We took to Facebook to ask you what some of your favorite summer treats are. Some of the comments were expected, like ice cream, lemonade, and different types of fruit. Others were a tad atypical, but that doesn't make them any less delicious. Let's take a look. Does your favorite make the list?
