December 14th, 1969:
The Jackson Five made their first network television appearance in the US when they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show.
December 15th, 1969:
John Lennon played what would be his final performance ever in the UK when he appeared at The Lyceum Ballroom, London, with the Plastic Ono Band in a UNICEF 'Peace For Christmas' benefit. George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Delaney and Bonnie, Billy Preston and Keith Moon also took part.
December 16th, 1974:
Guitarist Mick Taylor announced he was leaving the Stones saying he wanted to do something new, and that the time was right.
December 17th, 1977:
George Harrison played a live set for the regulars at his local pub in Henley-On-Thames near his home in the UK.
December 18th, 1943:
Keith Richards is born. Rolling Stone magazine once said Richards had created 'rock's greatest single body of riffs'.
