There are many variations to this simple exercise that I learned at Fit Body Transformations in Brentwood. I guarantee no matter which one you choose, within a minute you'll get your heart pumping and help drive away those midweek blues.

The example above is at a nice safe pace but I prefer the bench to be lowered to about half that height.

This is the technique that is closest to my own WITHOUT shooting my arms up in the air. Again, I only step up about two of those steppers and it gets me huffing and puffing quite nicely after a set of ten.

If you're afraid that you might lose your balance, there are many variations like the one above in which you can keep one foot planted on the bench the entire time and still get a great little workout without wasting any time and needing any special equipment.
