Yesterday was a sweet taste of summer, wasn't it? Well, if we're going to claim the sun and warmth, we'll also have to deal with the darker side of a heat wave.

Thunderstorms. Big thunderstorms, and possible hail.

It's not quite as warm as yesterday, where temps reach record highs in the low 90's. However, today, more humidity has built into the atmosphere. According to WMUR News 9, the first band moved through late this morning. Now a second, batch of unsettled weather is set to roll through the area late this afternoon into this evening. Some of these storms are expected to be strong.

A cold front roars through tomorrow afternoon, kicking off a few more showers through the area, but not as powerful.

If you're the person among your friends complaining about the heat, the weekend will be more your style. WMUR predicts the wind to pick up, and the temps to back down closer to normal.
