Traffic Detours Come To Downtown Dover

(Dover, NH) - Crews have begun the work of replacing the railroad track crossing Central Avenue.

Because of the length of the rails, the entire roadway is closed to through traffic until the work is completed. That would be Thursday at the earliest and Friday at the latest.

Detours are set up  to Chestnut Street and Pierce Street southbound, and to 3rd Street and Broadway northbound. Large trucks will be prohibited from using Broadway due to the height limitation of the railroad overpass.
