Sunday marked the 16th annual 'Santa Sunday' at Sunday River where hundreds of people dressed as Santa Clause all skied down the same trail, at the same time, in the name of charity.

Over $3,000 was raised for the Sunday River Community Fund, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for those in the Sunday River area.

Some of the beneficiaries from 2015 donations include: Bryant Pond Learning Center, the Town of Bethel Recreation Department, the Adroscoggin River Watershed Council, the Mahoosuc Pathways, the Lifeflight Foundation, and the Bethel Library Association.

For a minimum of a $15 donation to the fund, participants had to wear a Santa suit when skiing down the mountain plus theygot a free lift ticket to ski that morning AND a free ticket for use in the coming few weeks.
