Children in four schools have today off, after a water main break early Wednesday morning.

Snow (or TBH, slush) removal has made the last few days have been a pain, but an area of Manchester now has another problem on their hands this morning; flooded streets.

According to NECN, the area near Mammoth Road and Candia Road in Manchester experienced a water main break Wednesday morning. As a result, Southside Middle School, Jewett Street Elementary School, Manchester Memorial High School and Hallsville Elementary School all have the day off.

The break itself was fairly large. According to WMUR News 9, water began pouring onto the streets about 4:15 a.m. Wednesday. From there, water could be seen flooding the road, and traffic around the area was diverted.

Residents in the area will also be going without water for a while. According to WMUR News 9, Manchester Water Works officials said residents without water can expect to be without it for the next 10-12 hours.
