Why You SHOULD NOT Hunt Bobcats in New Hampshire
These wild cats have been safe for over 25 years, but now they can be hunted in our state. Here are some photos to convince you to think twice before shooting bobcats.
Anyone looking to shoot bobcats right in their cute little faces will now have their chance in our state.
The New Hampshire Fish & Game Commission just approved a bobcat hunting and trapping season after it had been banned for over 25 years.
Now I am not against hunting because I can appreciate how wild game tastes on my plate (or in jerky form.) I just think that bobcats are way too majestic, and sometimes adorable, to consider hunting down.
See, I am not impressed by animals like deer because they are basically tall rats with antlers that run in front of my car. Turkeys are just walking Thanksgiving centerpieces, and bears scare me so they can get hunted all day long for all I care.
There is a soft spot in my heart for bobcats because I am a cat-lover through and through. When I see a picture of one of these beautiful felines, I just think about my own cat and how much it loves/hates me. How could I shoot something that looks so similar to the little friend that sleeps on my chest and purrs in my face all night?
Look at how stunning this cat looks. Who would want to shoot it in the face?
This is what the bobcat looked like before you decided to put a bullet in him.
Come on! Who would want to shoot this little guy in between the eyes?
Look they even help PSNH repair power lines!
They also help with snow removal in the winter. Classy move!
You don't want to make UNH students sad do you?
Gnarlz doesn't want you to shoot his buddies. Don't mess with Gnarlz.
Shooting a bobcat makes kittens cry. Don't make kittens cry.
