'End 68 Hours of Hunger' is one of the Sharks favorite non-profits in the area, and we're always happy to spread the word on any event that benefit Claire Bloom and her wonderful organization are involved in.

The City of Dover and the Get To It campaign are sponsoring an effort to help 'End 68 Hours of Hunger' by asking you to drop off non-perishable food donations at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire as well as the Dover Chamber of Commerce until March 30th.

End 68 Hours of Hunger is a private, not-for-profit, effort to remove the 68 hours of hunger that some local school children experience between the lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the breakfast these children receive in school on Monday morning.

We're happy to report that this organization is growing and involved in more school districts, as such, the need for donations is growing as well.

Some of the items needed include:

  • canned tuna
  • canned chicken
  • peanut butter and jelly
  • boxed mac and cheese
  • nutrition bars
  • canned soup and pastas
  • crackers
  • squeeze mayo
  • canned fruits
  • canned vegetables
While you are dropping off your donation, you can enter to win a Samsung Galaxy Note tablet.
Whatever you can donate is very much appreciated by the children who rely on 'End 68 Hours of Hunger' to stay healthy and fed.
