15 Best Pumpkin Pictures from Damariscotta, Maine’s Pumpkinfest 2024
Maine is a big state. Maybe you wanted to get to the Damariscotta PumpkinFest and Regatta, but you didn't have the time or you had another commitment.
I get it. Time is precious and you, unfortunately, can't be in both places at the same time.
Lucky we're friends. I have pictures of the 15 best right here for you.
Not to discount any of the creations, because honestly, they were all amazing, but these just caught my eye the most.
Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to spend a lovely time in Bristol, Maine, with my long-time friend, Susan. Lucky for me, the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta was going on that weekend.

The crowds were ridiculously crowded all weekend long, meaning, you had to fight for a look at all the pumpkins. The weather was absolutely perfect for this event, so we should have known that going on.
We were all struck by the amazing creativity, curiosity and talent that went into these pumpkins.
We saw the entire story of the Wizard of Oz in not one, but two sculptures. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Charlotte's Web were also represented.
The pumpkins are only some of the fun on this weekend. There is a whole lot more going on in Damariscotta for this weekend every year. There are pie-eating competitions for kids and adults, parades, and my favorite part of the weekend, the Pumpkin Regatta, where real pumpkins become boats and relay race in the Damariscotta River.
The boats are decorated in creative themes, and it is the highlight of the weekend. You have to see it for yourself.
The pumpkins are on display for a while longer after the weekend passes, weather permitting, so you still have time to go check them out.
