Check Your Ticket: A 2 Million Dollar Lottery Ticket Was Sold in New Hampshire
Did you buy a Powerball lottery ticket at Market Basket in Hudson, New Hampshire recently? If so, check your numbers.
The New Hampshire lottery has announced, according to WMUR, that a ticket for Saturday, May 31, 2025 was sold at the Market Basket in Hudson, NH.
Here are the winning numbers:
1-29-37-56-68, with a Powerball of 13
The winning ticket hit all five numbers and for a dollar more, the person who bought the ticket put a "power play" on the ticket, doubling the winnings from $1 to $2 Million dollars.
The big Powerball jackpot was won somewhere in California, with a jackpot of $20 million.
Market Basket Gets a Cut of the Winnings
One of the benefits of being a lottery ticket vendor is that when these tickets hit, the vendor gets a cut too. For Keno, there is a percentage of 1% according to rochesternh.net, that the vendor receives.
$2 Million Dollar winning ticket, with a 1% take for the vendor is $20,000.
This is good timing for Market Basket as they are in the middle of another "situation" with the family fighting.

What Could You Buy in NH with $2 Million Dollars?
As your checking your tickets for the winning numbers, why not stop a little bit and dream about what you could buy with that kind of money.
You could buy the Parson's Homestead in Rye, NH. It's on the market for $1.890 Million.
You could buy a Rolls Royce for about a half a million.
Although $2 million is a LOT of money, it's not quite enough to buy this Dover, NH property on 32 Wisteria Road. I've been looking at this bad boy for year. They have lowered the price from when it started at $11.7 mil to $8.495 million.
