Great news for Apple Harvest Day fans!

The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce is moving forward with the event for 2020 with a few modifications.

There will be an online Live Stream Apple Harvest Day starting Saturday October 3rd and running for the whole month.  If you have a business and would like to be part of the event, you can register here.

Then there will be an actual in person event!  This will be a one day drive-in event on October 17, 2020!  Events include:

10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. - Juggler Bryson Lang
11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. - Rockin' Ron the Friendly Pirate
3:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. - WOKQ Apple Pie Baking Contest
4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. - Acoustic Radio

Community Events Manager Morgan Faustino tells us that masks will be required when you are entering and exiting, as well as using the facilities.  You will be able to take your mask off while you are sitting and enjoying the festivities.

They also plan to give each person two parking spots so you're able to park in one, and then take chairs or a picnic blanket out in the other spot, with plenty of room to socially distance!

I'm the most excited about the apple pie contest.  We'll have some great prizes and the entries are always delicious.  Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in two divisions: Adult, ages 15 and over, and Youth, for those participants 14 years of age and younger.

Not surprisingly, Chio has volunteered to be a judge again this year!
