Is This the Best New Hampshire Coffee Shop?

I am a big fan of coffee shops, in general.

There is a predictable feeling of cool vibes and hot coffee that I really like in most shops that I visit. There is one place in New Hampshire, however, that has my heart and may just be the best coffee shop in the entire state.

Formerly known as Flight Coffee, Breakaway Cafe in Downtown Dover might be the best coffee shop in the entire state.

Dover, New Hampshire just lost an iconic bakery, coffee shop and lunch spot with the closing of Harvey's Bakery. They were in business for 93 years. We shed quite a few tears over that place.

Good thing, just up Central Avenue, on the same side of the street, is Breakaway Cafe.

Breakaway Cafe serves all the things that you would want a coffee shop to serve. Hot/Cold coffee, espresso, tea lattes, (which I had never had until this place) breakfast and lunch options. All that is delicious.

But that's not why I love this place so much.

It's the art. When you walk into Breakaway Cafe, you will see art on the walls from local artists. I'm talking, beautiful, take your breath away, art.

From Breakaway Cafe's website, there seemed to be some sort of controversy with the music events they were having.

The reason I bring up the music is not to bring up the controversy, but to shine a spotlight on the community feel of Breakaway. They exist to promote art and creativity. All while feeding us some great food and serving us amazing coffee.

It's the most comfortable place to grab your laptop and work from there. It feels like home, but you don't have to cook or clean.
