Recently, I found out that Costco, America's #1 Supermarket, only has one location in New Hampshire, in Nashua.  That got me thinking, why is there just one location in the 603?

Don't we deserve more locations?  New Hampshire's wallet is filled with money that we have to hand over to somebody.  Shouldn't it be the Number 1 Grocery Store in America?

I wanted to find out why Costco so great.  So, I went to where everyone goes when they want to find out what people think, Reddit.

As a lifelong Market Basket shopper, I had to know.  How could Costco, based on the other side of the Country, in Washington State, be better than my local favorite?

Hannaford carries local produce from local farms.  What does Costco bring to the table to give it that "Number 1" status?

Here are a few reasons why they are so great and why NH deserves more locations:

Costco Has Name Brand Clothes on the Cheap and NH People Love a Bargain

One Reddit user said that he was making the full transition into Dad mode by clothes shopping at Costco.  He mentions brand names like Eddie Bauer, Puma and Champion.  He likes the fact that he can get a good fitting hoodie for $11.

Cruising around their website, I can see there are some really good deals.  There are some prices that I can't see, however, because I am not a member, like that cute Tommy Hilfiger jacket.

Costco's Return Policy is Great and Sometimes NH People Need to Return Stuff

Another Reddit user also said that their return policy was really good.  They don't hassle you about taking things back.  They cited someone trying to return a broken TV that had been purchased years before.  Although they didn't get money for the TV, the Manager did offer them a bigger, brand new one.

Free Samples and NH Loves Free Stuff

Who doesn't love the free samples at Costco, even though it has changed?  Ever since the pandemic, they couldn't have people passing out food anymore, so, they have changed to self-service samples.

Happy Employees and isn't that what we all want?

Some comments were about the pay and how it was better than their competitors and they treat their employees quite well.

I'm not sure about that one.  Not sure if you heard about Artie T giving his employees bonuses on the 10th anniversary of the Market Basket protests.  Some employees were just kids at the time.

The Ready Made Food - NH is Busy

There were a few about the "Costco Chicken Bake," which I have to say, looks and sounds delicious.  I wonder how it will taste in my mouth?

Given all these reasons, there are so many people and places here in New Hampshire that could benefit from having more than one Costco location.

I have been to Costco, but I haven't been in a long time.  I think I have just convinced myself that it's time to take a drive to Nashua.  I could visit my Mom at her mausoleum and get a spinach pizza from Kinsley House of Pizza at the same time.

Where in New Hampshire do you think the next Costco should be?
