You have to hand it to the folks at The Stillwater Harvest Fest, they really know how to party. How nobody was hurt by this one ton exploding candy gourd is beyond me.

The impact from a 100 foot descent would be impressive with just a regular pumpkin. A 2,000 pound pumpkin stuffed with candy dropped into a large crowd of children? What could possibly go wrong? Thankfully, no one was injured.

I guess the threat of a oncoming Minnesota winter would make any town council member give the green light to such a gravity enhanced spooky spectacle.
