I've overheard several people at work talking about eating dandelions -- sauteed, boiled, fried… I looked it up online and even found recipes for dandelion jelly and dandelion tea. Am I missing out on a delicious delicacy? Do people in New England really pick these flowers from their backyard and eat them?

I am willing to try dandelions, since it looks like spinach in the pictures I saw on the web. I love spinach. However, I live in an apartment building, so I don't have a yard or even a park nearby where I can hunt for them. I've never seen them in the grocery store either. So, where can I find them? I would prefer that they are already cooked and ready to eat, as I am useless in the kitchen. I use my oven for storage, and I am not joking.

Let me know how you prepare dandelions in the comment section below or on our Facebook page.
