What? 2 of The Best Donut Flavors in NH Come From Market Basket?

There are a lot of bakeries and donut shops in New Hampshire. Take Heav'nly Donuts in Brentwood - just amazing donuts. Or, the NH Doughnut Company in Bedford - talk about fancy!

But there are some people who swear there are two kinds of donuts they have ever eaten is from Market Basket.

Market Basket's bakery is off the hook. I heard once that they point the bakery's fans toward the entrance, so when you walk in, you will immediately smell the aroma of fresh baked bread, cakes, etc. Evil and effective marketing, if you ask me.

On Market Basket's Facebook page, they have post titled, "Best Doughnut Ever." The comments are so enthusiastic about many of their donuts.

Two kinds of donut stood out, the glazed donut and the jelly donut.

One commenter said, "Better than Dunkin." Whoa! That is throwing some shade to one of New England's institutions, but hey, it's their opinion.

Sometimes, I'll go to Hannaford and pass by their bakery with a pretty good selection of donuts too. The plain with coconut look pretty darn good to me.

The next time you are at Market Basket, pick up a few glazed and/or jelly donuts and have your own taste test. You might be surprised at how good they are.
