Find Out the Most Popular Halloween Candy in New England

Hmm, Halloween is just around the corner and trick or treaters will be on your doorstep in no time.  Be prepared this year to delight them with their favorite treat.

We all know that one dentist who will be passing out toothbrushes (happens in my neighborhood every year), but let’s be the fun house to stop by this year.

Fox News is reporting on a map published by Bid on Equipment based on google search volume which breaks down the favorite treats on a State by State basis.

Based on the map it appears that New Hampshire clearly prefers Reese’s Peanut Butter cups as does Maine.

Looks like Massachusetts children would like Snickers and those in Rhode Island would prefer Pretzel M&Ms.

The clear winner nationwide was Reese’s peanut butter cups.

Fox News reports that chocolate-based candies are the clear winner with only 10 states reporting alternatives such as Hot Tamales, AirHeads, Nerds, Swedish Fish, Jolly Ranchers, and Gummy Worms.

Whatever candy you decide to hand out, let’s remember to be safe this Halloween.  Keep your home well-lit for trick or treaters, make sure your kiddos are armed with flashlights and reflective tape on their costumes.
