High cream High cream, we all scream for HIGH Cream!

That's not the right words to the chant, but for this story, it's appropriate.

According to WMUR, Marc Flore, 45 years old, pled guilty to tampering of consumer products.

Flore put THC into a batch of Coffee Oreo ice cream in September of 2022.  The business was then taken over by Roots Local Cafe and Catering, which has since closed.

Roots didn't have anything to do with the laced ice cream, but unknowingly served the ice cream to customers in March of 2023.

In March of 2023, the Newmarket Police Department issued a letter asking for more information regarding "Angelo's Amore."  The letter, posted on Facebook, said the people who got sick had high levels of TCH, which is found in marijuana.
There were many comments at the time about the ice cream like:
  • I must have this ice cream at my wedding reception

  • Damn, the really missed a chance, they didn't even market their new 'Highs' cream before releasing it to the public.
  • That's certainly unfortunate for all the patrons, but can I have some ice cream?!

There were also comments about how people got sick and they didn't appreciate the jokes that were being made.  A 16 year old employee ate the ice cream and complained about not feeling good along with other customers.  They all recovered.

Others said that maybe it was a batch that he made for himself and didn't take it with him.
