Happy Birthday to Ronnie Wood, who turned 70 yesterday! Guitarist for the Rolling Stones since ’75, he is still considered the “new guy” in the band after over forty years.  Shark intern Josh had the chance to see The Rolling Stones when they came to Boston in 2013, and was able to grab a couple great shots of Ronnie Wood, as seen below.

As a matter of fact, Wood had a very impressive career before he joined the Stones, having been a founding member of the Jeff Beck Group in 1967 with Beck and Rod Stewart, with whom he slapped the bass on the bands’ first two albums.

He went on to form the band Faces with Rod in ’69, a group that put out four albums until they disbanded, with Wood going on to replace Mick Taylor in the Stones.

After 40 years and counting with the World’s Greatest Rock n’ Roll Band, Ronnie is also staying young at 70 with wife Sally Humphreys and their one-year old twin daughters, born in 2016.
