I grew up thinking that screwing up Mother's Day was a straight shot to hell.

My mom's birthday usually falls within a couple of days of Mother's Day, so it rarely snuck up on me. Even still, there were those years of stressing out at last minute, thinking I might be headed for an afterlife of rather warm temperatures.
