This past Winter, New England experienced one of "those" winters when it seemed like we got a ton of snow and the temperatures were very, very cold. We hadn't experienced that in a while, so it kind of felt "good."

I wonder if I'll be saying the same thing when this intense heat hits New Hampshire and Massachusetts this Summer?

According to the Farmer's Almanac, it's going to be a scorcher for the Southern half of New Hampshire and all of Massachusetts.

What Can New England Expect for Hot Temps This Summer?

This coming Summer of 2025 is going to be wicked hot.  As the above map suggests, it is going to be hot and dry for most of the country, not just the Northeast.

Summer of 2024 Was Very Hot in New England

The almanac also said that we lived through one of the hottest summers that we have experience in.... forever.  They said it was Earth's hottest summer since they started keeping records in 1880.

The average temperature was 73.8 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 2.5 degrees hotter than normal.

Stay Hydrated This Summer

Make sure you get enough water this Summer.  If you feel like you need to get out of the heat for a while, head to your closest Mountain peak or head to the beach.

A summit at 4,000 feet, like Wild Cat Mountain, is always going to be a little chilly.

Heading to the beach is always an option.  A dip in the Atlantic ocean in the Northeast will always cool you off.  The water doesn't "heat up" enough for me until at least August.
