Food & Wine Says Portland, Maine, Restaurant Among Top 15 in Nation

Over the last decade or so, there have been plenty of restaurants in Portland, Maine, that show up on nationwide lists for a variety of reasons.

Sometimes it's because a restaurant is one of the newest and most exciting, other times it specializes in a certain type of cuisine and excels when compared to other restaurants around the country.

One of those lists is the Food & Wine Top 15. It's a list put together by polling food experts from around the country on where to find the best of the best from coast to coast.

And a Portland, Maine, restaurant is featuring prominently.

Going shoulder to shoulder with restaurants from Seattle to New York City, Food & Wine's food experts named Mr. Tuna in Portland, Maine, among the top 15 restaurants in the nation right now.

Food & Wine marveled over the tuna sashimi tasting with one of the food experts declaring it as one of the single best dishes he ate for all of 2025.

What started as a food cart nearly a decade ago has turned into one of the preeminent restaurants in the city and a standard for those that love sushi.
