12 Boston, Massachusetts Companies Named Among Best Employers in America

Over the past few months, there have been several people I know who have lost their job and they are having a hard time finding another with a good company. Maybe they should look at these 12 companies in Massachusetts that have landed on the Forbes Best Employers in America for 2025.

12 Massachusetts Companies Made the Forbes 2025 Best List

Forbes surveyed more than 160,000 who work for a company with at least 500 people on staff.  They were asked, on a scale of 1-10, how likely were they to recommend the company they work for on wages, workplace culture, paths to professional advancement and how they deal with serious issues.

Mind you, these are only from Boston proper, not the suburbs that many people just say "Boston,"  For example, MIT made the list, but they are not listed here because they are located in Cambridge.

4 Boston Hospitals Made the Forbes Best 2025

There are four hospitals that made the Forbes best list.  From what I remember from the criteria that makes these hospitals great is directly due to what the patients say.  I know there is a survey that they are asked to fill out and hospitals take these surveys very seriously.

Here are the four that made the list:

• Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
• Boston Children's Hospital
• Boston Medical Center
• Beth Isreal Lahey Health

Fidelity Investments also made the list for a second time in consecutive years.

Here are the other companies that made the Forbes Best in Massachusetts

• Vertek Pharmaceuticals
• Boston University
• Santander
• Bay Cove Human Services
• UMASS Boston
• Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• CDM Smith

My two cents:  Whatever your circumstance is at work, if you are not happy with your paycheck, but love the job, stay put.  If you love your paycheck, but hate the job, leave.  Money ain't everything and you might find a better one at these companies.
