Leave the Kids at Home: 8 New England Parks and Attractions With Adults-Only Nights in 2026
Remember when you were a kid and you got to enjoy the thrill of Excalibur at Funtown in Maine or meet Cinderella at her Story Land castle in New Hampshire?
Well, it doesn't have to just be nostalgia anymore, as several New England amusement parks and other various attractions are hosting adults-only nights where you can relive those days of fun right now.... but at night and with adult friends and adult beverages.
OK. So what places are we talking about?
Adults-Only Nights in New England
These days, it certainly seems like adult-only nights at New England amusement parks have become far more regular, as the novelty of bringing back some childhood fun despite being older has really stuck.
According to WMUR, Story Land first introduced its "Nostalgia Night" back in 2019, and the event quickly sold out.
Funtown would follow in those footsteps a few years later with its own version, "All Grown Up," in 2022. It also sold out.
Meanwhile, the Boston Globe reported on the Boston Children's Museum's "Boston Grown-Ups Museum Party" all the way back in 2012. Oh, and not only have they continued to do an adults-only night throughout the years, but it's back again for 2026.
And those are just a few to name that have embraced this particular theme at places that have generally been more geared toward kids.
Let's take a look at some of the spots in New England having adults-only nights this year.
