Longtime Hampton Candy Store Closes; Reopens Under New Management

A longtime Hampton candy store that has been around for many decades changed ownership recently and along with the new owner, comes a new name.

Sanborn's Fine Candies is now Huckleberry's Candies, Lafayette Road, Hampton. The business was bought recently by longtime employee, Caren MacAskill.

The Sanborn family, according to their website, opened their candy business back in 1957 and had been voted the Best Candy Shop on the Seacoast, as well as having been awarded for having the best dark chocolate in the entire state of New Hampshire.

But a new day has dawned in the candy world. According to several different Facebook posts, the new owner says they will still carry all the favorite chocolate and candies of their many customers.
