Mack has been discovered in distress at Hampton Beach State Park on February 14th, and taken to the National Marine Life Center in Bourne, Massachusetts for rehabilitation.

He was given the name Mack, short for Merrimack as this years naming theme is Rivers of New England.

After 4 weeks, he is ready to be released back into the wild where he is expected to migrate north to the Canadian Provinces and the Arctic.

The seal release will take place at 5:15 Sunday afternoon in front of the Lady of the Sea NH Marine Memorial at Hampton Beach.
