A Pennsylvania man was charged with several counts of burglary after climbing the roof of the home of a Somersworth woman he met online.

Somersworth Police said a resident of a home on Highland Street called 911 around 4:45 a.m. because they heard an intruder. Officers found Mauricio Damian Guerrero, 20, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania on the roof, and took him into custody.

The initial investigation determined that Guerrero had met the resident via social media. He drove around 400 miles from Bensalem, located just outside Philadelphia, to Portsmouth where he was staying at an Airbnb. He allegedly planned to "commit theft and invasion of privacy," according to police.

Guerreo was charged with two counts each of Class A Burglary/Night Time/Residence and two counts of Class B Burglary/Day Time/Residence. He refused bail and was held at the Strafford County House of Corrections.
