JetBlue is now flying out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport and I could not be happier.  MHT is smaller, less crowded than Logan Airport in Boston and a whole lot more convenient for us here in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.

Depending on where you live in Massachusetts, you may also opt to fly out of Manchester.

JetBlue has become my airline of choice in recent years and maybe it will be your too after you fly with them.

Besides the obvious reasons that a non-stop flight is great, here are five more reasons why JetBlue is awesome.  This is not a paid endorsement, by the way, this is just me - as a consumer.

Reason #1

JetBlue airfare is not as expensive as other airlines, I've found.  I just checked how much a round trip ticket would be from Manchester to Florida, leaving tonight and the airfare was $234, round trip.

Reason #2

SO MANY POINTS!  I have about 80,000 points.  I'm not sure what that means, but I am happy I have them.  I'm sure I could get at least another package of free pretzels.

Reason #3

Free snacks!  JetBlue gives free snacks to everyone.  You don't have to upgrade or anything, the way some airlines are making you do these days.

Reason #4

Do you know how much closer Manchester is for us versus going to Boston to fly JetBlue?  I'll do the math for you. If you live in Exeter, New Hampshire, Manchester is about 30 miles away.  Boston is 54 miles.  You'll save on gas.

Reason #5

You'll save money on parking.  At MHT, it's a max of $24 bucks a day, and you know exactly where your car is.  In Boston, there are a bunch of places to park (some outside of the airport), and people who will shuttle you in.

Bonus Reason:

I don't know if it's a JetBlue initiative to smile at every passenger even if they don't feel like it, but I am totally buying it.

JetBlue is adding some flights out of Boston, and Providence, Rhode Island is doing the same, according to cbsnews.com.
