According to the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs, the countries listed below are "level 4, do not travel" destinations for New Hampshire and the United States. The list has recently been updated.

Why Are These Countries Dangerous for New Hampshire Travelers?

The U.S. has declared these places dangerous because of a few reasons:

  • Terrorism
  • Armed Conflict
  • Military Presence
  • Military Activity

New Hampshire Travelers Told Not to Travel to Israel, The West Bank and Gaza

My Jewish friends travel to Israel on a fairly regular basis.  They consider it their homeland, even if they were born in the U.S.

There are many countries that family has traveled to for military obligations, and some of them are breathtakingly beautiful.

What a shame that such discord is happening.

New England Is Not That Old

In New England, we consider our architecture to be old, but if you travel to any part of Europe, you will find that we are not very old at all.

The castles, the homes, and the businesses abroad go back hundreds and hundreds of years.

Explore the U.S.

Instead of traveling to these places in the world where you can not go right now, explore the U.S.

See Yellowstone National Park or maybe take a trip to Northern California to see the Giant Redwoods.

Or explore other states in New England! There are a bunch of great places you might have never visited only a few hours away.

Personally, I would like to see every state in the U.S.  My next destination might be Idaho.  I hear the potatoes are amazing.

U.S. Government's Updated "Do Not Travel" List

Many people travel at the end of the year for the holidays or to use up vacation days that may expire. These countries have a Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory issued on them by the U.S. Government and should be avoided.
