Spencer's Spirit Holdings, the parent company of Spirit Halloween, announced that it is going to convert 10 of it's locations to "Spirit Christmas," including one in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, according to pix11.com.

At the converted stores, patrons can have a meet and greet with Santa (!!)  You can book your specific time to meet him, whisper in his ear your wishes for Christmas and get your picture taken with him just by clicking here.

May's Landing, New Jersey

The flagship store in New Jersey is set to open on October 18 and the other locations will open in early November.

Life-Sized Gingerbread House in Massachusetts

The best part of Spirit Christmas, according to the article cited, is that a representative of the store said the store will also include a "life-sized gingerbread village."  WHAT?!  The people who go there can mail their letters to Santa for delivery to the North Pole in the Village.  I know!

I'm not sure it will be THIS big, but one can dream.

The idea of Spirit Christmas isn't entirely new.  There is some evidence, according to pix11.com that some locations operated in the '90's and mid 2000's after the brand was purchased by Spencer's.

The Dartmouth location is about 3 hours, 15 minutes from Portland, Maine and about 2 and a half hours from Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  Worth the trip, if you ask me.

We have a lot of Spirit Halloween stores here in New Hampshire with locations in Somersworth, Hampton, Newington, Nashua and Manchester.  Wouldn't it be great if they all converted to Spirit Christmas too?
