A website called LendingTree has just come out with their list of the Most Expensive Towns In The U.S.

Towns on the list have such expensive home prices they are unaffordable to people who earn the median income in those areas.

Number one on the list is Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts on Martha's Vineyard. Vineyard Haven has a total population of 17,321. Homes in the area cost about $674,600, with the median individual income being only $39,045.

It is safe to say that not many who work in Vineyard Haven, live in Vineyard Haven.

Here is the list of the top ten:

Vineyard Haven, MA
Summit Park, UT
Breckenridge, CO
Jackson, WY
Steamboat Springs, CO
Heber, UT
Juneau, AK
Hood River, OR
Hailey, ID
Easton, MD

Living in a small town sounds like it would be more affordable than living in a big city. But as we learned from this list, that isn't always the case!
