New Hampshire Still Showing High Numbers of Highly Contagious Influenza
According to the weekly Influenza Surveillance Report done by the CDC, New Hampshire still has a "high" number of cases.
Check out this map. The CDC calls this the FluView.
The flu is still quite prevalent in most of the states in across the country with only a few places that consider it rare. Check out Montana and West Virginia, for example, where the flu is only minimal cases.

North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and Missouri have low cases, but the rest of the U.S. seems to be in the thick of it.
There is Some Good Flu News... Kinda
This week, according to the CDC, compared to last week, there has been a decrease in cases or the number stayed the same, country wide. The numbers they are seeing, however, still show elevated levels and they are expected to remain high for a few more weeks.
How To Prevent Getting the Flu
- Get a yearly vaccine. If you have had the flu this season, you know that this one is especially tough. I wish I had gotten the vaccine before I got sick.
- Wash your hands. It's so boring at this point to keep saying, but it TOTALLY WORKS to prevent the spread of germs, so do it.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes. If you automatically cough into your hands, (which I have done on occasion) go wash your hands with soap and water.
I had the flu this season and it was not fun. It took weeks to get over. I was really wishing that I had taken the vaccine, but as Maya Angelou once said, "When you know better, you do better."
