Well, isn't this just great.

Kevin Skarupa from WMUR tells us that New Hampshire is getting a late season Nor'easter for the start of the Memorial Day weekend.

1 - 2 Inches of Rain Expected

We can expect heavy rain and wind to start the day on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Kevin says there should be no coastal flooding, however, wind gusts 40 MPH.

This system will be a coastal, so around the Seacoast of NH, be sure to hang on to your hat, as the wind will be whipping at 35-40 miles per hour.

We may see several inches of accumulation, depending on where we are in the state.

Thursday afternoon, the storm moves away, but the showers will stick around on Friday, into Saturday.

Sunday looks like we may have some stray showers, but by Monday, the showers should be gone and the temperature could reach the mid 60's.

Forget about your barbeque plans until Monday.  That isn't the most optimal day to say the least.  If you have your Memorial Day party on Monday, you have to cut it short so you have time to clean up and get ready for back to work on Tuesday.

Memorial Day is Somber Anyway

All this rain gives us a chance to really reflect on the reason for the day in the first place.  It is a time to thank those who gave their lives so we are able to enjoy the freedoms that we have today.
