This news gives me a sense of normalcy and it could give you a job!

Old Navy is going to open a new store in Epping, according to the Union Leader, at Brickyard Square on 125 in April.

If you need a job, this new store needs your help, according to gapinc.com.  The post says they are looking for part-time positions and the benefits sound really great too!  50% off regular priced merch?  Not bad!  Here are the other benefits, according to the website:

  • Merchandise discount for our brands: 50% off regular-priced merchandise at Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta, and 30% off at Outlet for all employees.

  • One of the most competitive Paid Time Off plans in the industry.

  • Employees can take up to five “on the clock” hours each month to volunteer at a charity of their choice.

  • Extensive 401(k) plan with company matching for contributions up to four percent of an employee’s base pay.

  • Employee stock purchase plan.

  • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

I remember when I worked at Almy's Department store in Nashua at the Nashua Mall.  I was in the "Juniors" department, a/k/a Teenage/adult women's clothes and I loved it!  It was really fun to help people find things that looked good on them.  I got really good and judging what size people fit in to and was able to help them if something they picked out didn't quite work out.  Sometimes, it was an awkward conversation when the person going in to the fitting room was a size 18, but they brought in all size 12.  I would just quietly bring them other "options" in their correct size.  The only thing I didn't like about the dressing room was cleaning up for people if they left the clothes on the floor.  GAWD, people!

Anyway, looking forward to visiting Old Navy when they open in April.
