The big I95 bridge connecting Portsmouth to Kittery over the Piscataqua is expected to get an additional travel lane in both directions.

According to the NHDOT: The bridge is expected to be worked on over the next few years, and part of the project includes adding the fourth travel lane.

That bridge was completed in 1972, and by the end of the rehab, it will mean all 3 bridges connecting Maine and New Hampshire will be close to brand new!

The new lanes should help the congestion that hits that bridge every weekend during the summer.
