This eye opening video just released by the NH State Police really shows the danger of flooded roadways and highways with today's heavy rain. Here's how to best avoid a potentially deadly scenario like this.

We've all seen cars in the news getting flooded by tides or intense rainwater and thought, that'll never happen here in NH. This recently posted video proves that it easily could. The danger of hydroplaning is also a major contributor to serious accidents so these three tips may SEEM like common sense. But I, for one, will be paying attention to the following.

Follow these three simple tips to avoid an accident:

1. Slow down & reduce your speed

2. Always use headlights. Avoid using high-beams during fog

3. Drive distracted free and focus on the road

Jodi from Accounting always says that if your windshield wipers are on, your headlights should be on as well. I'm glad that the State Police agree with her!

Slow down, Lights on and FOCUS. And you won't turn your car into a Granite State Marine Vessel. This is something we all need to pay attention to!
