This means I could live past 100!

Grumpy Faced Old Man

I've certainly been accused of being grumpy more than once over the years, and now I have scientific proof that it's not a bad thing.

Forty thousand people in Germany took part in the study that concluded that those who are pessimists or have low expectations, tend to live longer.

According to Frieder R. Lang, the lead researcher of the study;

"the findings revealed being overly optimistic in predicting a better future was associated with a greater risk of disability and death within the following decade.

"Pessimism about the future may encourage people to live more carefully, taking health and safety precautions,"

Take that all of you people who tell me to get out of my comfort zone and go sky-diving, or take part in some other dare-devil activity.

Going through life carefully and over thinking almost every move and conversation has kept me fairly healthy over the years.

And not to worry to all of my friends who cajole me to take chances. As Mick Jagger aptly put it, "I won't forget to put roses on your grave"
