NKOTB Fans Check This Out; Donnie Wahlberg to Star in Boston Blue

I don't know what was in the water in Dorchester, Massachusetts when the Wahlberg boys were growing up, but it must have been potent stuff.

Donnie Wahlberg, as all New Kids on the Block fans know, can sing and dance. TV and Movie fans know him as a great actor. Now, it has been announced, that he will be in a spin off of the TV series, "Blue Bloods," called "Boston Blue."

He will play his former role of Danny Reagan, which he received a People's Choice Award nomination for in 2017, according to Billboard.

It was emotional when Blue Bloods ended, but now, maybe Boston Blue could go on for another 14 years.

No Date When Boston Blue Will Air

There is no date yet as to when the TV series will premiere and nothing that I could find that said it was going to film in Boston, but the title might give us hope to see Donnie hanging around Quincy Market sometime soon.

Donnie has been busy lately. He was in the Dunkin ad that recently ran with Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, among others.

New Kids on the Block in Vegas 2025

Not long ago, New Kids on the Block announced a Las Vegas residency at Park MGM. Those shows start in July, then again in November. Maybe in between those times, he'll be filming around Boston? One can only hope.
