Prescott Park in Portsmouth Announces Summer Musical

The musical for the Summer has been announced by the Prescott Park Arts Festival.

How exciting! Not that I have anything against any other musical, but School of Rock hits a particularly happy nerve with me, being a fan of the rock music.

I'm also happy to know that the cast of the School of Rock requires children to be part of the cast. The soundtrack to the movie version includes:

Substitute: The Who
Touch Me - The Doors
Sunshine of Your Love - Cream
Immigrant Song - Led Zep
Edge of 17 - Stevie Nicks
It's a Long Way to the Top - AC/DC

And many more!

The fact that kids are being exposed to this Classic Rock warms the very cockles of my heart. I would hate for kids to grow up without knowing the joy of banging ones head or shooting devil horns in the air with appreciation of the vibrating speakers of loud, blessed rock and roll.
