Every Red Sox fan I know hasn't been talking about the team nearly as much as they've been talking about their concern for beloved broadcaster Jerry Remy and his recent health scare. We talked to NESN's Tom Caron about 'The RemDawg' today and this update will make any Sox fan smile.

'He's home, he's resting, he told me he's feeling much better.

He's so touched by everybody reaching out to him and all the people who have expressed well wishes.
Can't wait to get him back, we miss him on the broadcast. But he's one tough son of a gun there's no doubt about that.'
- Tom Caron On The Health Status Of Beloved Broadcaster Jerry Remy

For those of you that may not have heard, while broadcasting last Saturday's game against Toronto, Remy experienced shortness of breath and then spent a couple days being monitored at Mass General.

A true New England treasure, 'The RemDawg' has been a fan favorite ever since he was traded here from The California Angels in 1978.

A Somerset Mass. native, his comically honest perspective and authentic Boston accent has been delighting viewers on NESN since his first year with Ned Martin back in 1988.

He was first diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008 and encountered a few relapses before declaring he was 'cancer free' in November of 2018.

Over the past couple of years NESN has teamed play by play man Dave O'Brien alongside Jerry Remy and Dennis Eckersley together and (IMHO)they're the best 3 man booth to ever call a game.

Sarah and I were so relieved to hear Jerry is doing great and thanks again to TC for giving us the latest update.
